On the occasion of the double celebration of the International Mother Language Day and the African Language Week, a partnership agreement between the University of Tlemcen and the High Commissioner for Amazighity was signed on February 22, 2023 at the level of the center Andalusian studies.

The celebration of its events in Tlemcen had led to the organization of a seminar: “Amazighity as a component of the nation, identity security, territorial integrity and national unity”.

Several axies of reflection were discussed during this seminar:

1-the historical role of the elite and religious scholars in the protection of society and the strengthening of national reference during the propaganda campaigns of colonial France.

2- the contribution of the national education system to the awakening of individual and collective awareness of national identity as well as to the strengthening of social cohesion by consolidating the values ​​linked to Islam, Arabism and Amazighity.

3-heritage as an identity and historical element in an integral project of national civilization, within the framework of the constitutional trilogy: Islam, Arabism and Amazighity.

4-the concept of national defense extended to the fields of human and social sciences in terms of deciphering the mechanisms of manufacturing processes, identified in social networks, aiming at different types of disruption of the referential frameworks of Algerian identity: territory, political history and military languages ​​local cultures, individual and collective names, etc.

5-social values, source of inspiration, reconciliation with oneself and construction of citizenship in peace and living together and in peace.

At the end of the work of this seminar, teachers were also honored.
